Thanks to the generosity of the many friends and supporters of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, we are able to award students myriad scholarships each academic year. In addition to endowing numerous scholarships in perpetuity, our generous donors also provide additional scholarship support on an annual basis. The College of Law also uses institutional and collegial funds to support its students through scholarships and tuition waivers.

All incoming first-year students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships and tuition waivers by the Admissions Committee. First-year students will be notified of scholarships requiring a unique application by email during each academic year. First-year students will be notified in the spring when the Law Scholarship Application is available to make them eligible for scholarships during their second year.

Upper level students (second-year and third-year students) are considered for most scholarships only if they complete the General Scholarship Application. These students will be notified in the spring when the new scholarship application is available. The General Scholarship Application is available during the Spring semester. Students will be notified by email during each academic year of scholarships that require a unique application.

Important note: Remember that a student is only allowed to receive financial aid equal to, but not greater than, his or her Cost of Attendance.  For students receiving scholarships, it is very likely that the scholarship will not put extra dollars in your pocket for monthly expenses, but rather make it unnecessary for you to borrow as much money as you would without the scholarship.
