An article in the Feb. 9 edition of Tax Notes headlined, "The Thorndike Challenge," by tax historian Joseph J. Thorndike, mentioned a clever phrase coined by Professor Marjorie Kornhauser. "Some presidents and vice presidents - notably George W. Bush and Dick Cheney - have been reluctant to do a fiscal Fully Monty (a tip to Arizona State law Prof. Marjorie E. Kornhauser for the felicitous phrasing)," Thorndike wrote.
He referred to a paper Kornhauser published in 2005 in the Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence, "Doing the Full Monty: Will Publicizing Tax Information Increase Compliance?"
