Law School IT Services

One of the many benefits of attending the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law is the IT services available to students.  From the wireless network that blankets the law school buildings to the computer lab that is open more than 12 hours a day, students are able to let go of their technology worries.  Our Help Desk is open 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday to support students and help with any laptop or network problems.

The IT Services staff welcomes new and incoming students during Orientation week.  During this week, we'll walk you through what we do and what services and resources are available to you as a law student and as a student of a large research university.  We will also spend some time with you during our laptop configuration open house to help you get your laptop on the university network, install anti-virus software, and add some law school software which will allow you to access your network storage space and print to the computer lab printers.

If you've been admitted to the law school, please take the time to activate your ASURITE account.  You should receive your ASURITE information from the Admissions Department shortly after being admitted.  Refer to our Computer Accounts page for more information.

Laptops at the Law School

While the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law does not require incoming students to have a laptop, most students do have and use laptops everyday.  Many exams can be taken on a laptop using Examsoft software.  Students also use their laptops to take notes during class and access the Internet to research class topics.

To ensure that the IT Help Desk staff can effectively support your laptop, we do request that all laptops meet minimum requirements.  Any laptops that fall below those requirements may not be able to use some features and software offered at the college or at ASU and the Help Desk staff may not be able to provide support.
