Professor Myles Lynk will attend the American Bar Association's 2009 Annual Meeting in Chicago, July 30-Aug. 4, as a member of the governing Councils of two ABA Sections, the Section of Business Law, where he also is an adviser on professional responsibility, and the Section of Individual Rights and Responsibilities.

Lynk, the Peter Kiewit Foundation Professor of Law and the Legal Profession, also is a member of the ABA's Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Legal Profession, and serves on the Nominating Committee of the National Conference of Bar Presidents which will be meeting in Chicago as a part of the ABA's Annual Meeting. He is a member of the ABA House of Delegates and serves on the House of Delegates' Nominating Committee which nominates the officers of the ABA.  

At the conclusion of the meeting, Lynk will begin a term of service on the ABA's Task Force on International Trade in Legal Services.

Lynk's areas of interest include business and corporate law, civil procedure, legal ethics and professional responsibility, and law and literature. He is ASU’s NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative, in which capacity he works closely with the university’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics on issues concerning student-athlete welfare, academic eligibility and institutional compliance with NCAA legislation and Pac-10 Conference rules.
