Lawrence O. Anderson, U.S. magistrate court judge, was appointed to the newly created Public Information and Community Outreach Committee for the United States Courts for the Ninth Circuit.

Louis Denetsosie is attorney general for the Navajo Nation. Formerly, Mr. Denetsosie was in private practice with his son, Warren, in Window Rock, AZ.

Daniel R. Drake is Assistant U.S. Attorney, for the District of Arizona, U.S. Department of Justice United States Attorney's Office, Phoenix, AZ.

Janet Effland is general partner with Apax Partners, Inc., Phoenix, AZ.

Susan Ehrlich, Arizona Court of Appeals judge, was appointed by Phoenix Mayor Skip Rimsza to the Phoenix Human Services Commission, and was appointed to serve on the Institutional Biosafety Committee of the University of Arizona.

Art Garcia is a United States Attorney.  Art is a former President of Los Abogados and former member of the Board of Directors (10 years).

H. Leslie Hall is with the law firm founded by Carol Cure, resulting in the firm's name change to the Cure Hall Law Firm. Before joining the firm, Hall was with the Arizona Attorney General's Office for 10 years.

Kraig J. Marton is a shareholder in the Phoenix firm of Jaburg & Wilk where he primarily practices in the fields of health care, First Amendment and employment law.

Ruth McGregor willl retire from her position as Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court in June 2009 to spend more time with her family and to pursue other interests. She was chosen by the ASU College of Law Alumni Association to receive its Outstanding Alumnus Award for 2000 and also recently stepped down from her position as chair of the American Bar Association's Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. In 2009, she was choosen to be inducted into the Maricopa County Bar Association's Hall of Fame under the category of "Modern Era" attorneys - those who were prominent in 1965 or later.

Stanley E. Munger is active in the general practice of law with an emphasis in litigation.

Michael R. Murphy has been inducted as a fellow into the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL).  He is a partner at Murphy, Lutey, Schmitt & Fuchs in Prescott. 

Patricia K. Norris was appointed by Governor Janet Napolitano to the Court of Appeals. 

Steven Partridge is with Gallagher & Kennedy as of counsel. He practices in the area of state and local tax law. Prior to joining the firm, he was assistant director of the Arizona Department of Revenue's Property Tax Division, responsible for general oversight of the property tax system in Arizona.

Ed Pastor, is congressman for the Second District, Arizona, U.S. House of Representatives.

James W. Ryan is a founding partner of Frazer, Ryan, Goldberg & Arnold, LLP, and focuses on sophisticated estate plans and representation of closely held business owners. He has served with the Estate and Trust Advisory Commission and as chairman of the Arizona Trust Code sub-committee to the Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar of Arizona, and in that position was instrumental in developing the Arizona Trust Code, which goes into effect in January 2009.

Linda K. Scott is the newly appointed Maricopa County presiding juvenile court judge. Judge Scott became a superior court judge in 1984, and in 1986 became the second judge to be assigned to the Southeast Branch of the Superior Court in Mesa. She served at the Southeast Branch as the associate presiding juvenile judge from 1991-95.  The majority of her judicial service has been concentrated on juvenile court matters.

Peter N. Serino, after managing a successful injury practice in Phoenix for over 25 years, he is now spending most of his time in Montana with a small practice and enjoying life. 

Richard M. Traynor was appointed chair of the Limited Jurisdiction Courts Committee, Phoenix, AZ.

John P. Todd works for the Arizona Attorney General's Office, Capital Litigation Section.  In April 2004, he argued Schriro v. Summerlin before the United States Supreme Court.  In a 5-4 decision, the Court agreed with the State's position. 

Steve Twist is assistant general counsel for Viad Corp. He was formerly the chief assistant attorney general for the State of Arizona (1979-1990). Mr. Twist is the author of the Victims' Bill of Rights, Art. 2; Sec. 2.1, Az. Const. enacted in 1990, and of the Arizona Criminal Code, enacted in 1978.  He is a faculty associate at the College of Law.
