Recommended Online Resources (library use only)
- LexisNexis Academic
- This database contains the text of state and federal laws and cases. Users can also access federal regulations, law review articles, some international materials as well as business, medical and reference information. Documents can be printed at the library for $0.08/ page, emailed, or saved to a removable drive.
- Shepards
- An online citator used to update case law and statutory research. It allows a researcher to locate legal materials that have discussed or cited a particular case or statute of interest. Most importantly Shepards helps determine whether a given source is still a valid law. Documents can be printed at the library for $0.08/ page or emailed.
- Westlaw Patron Access
- Westlaw provides access to federal and state cases, statutes, and administrative codes as well as law reviews, AmJur, ALR, Restatements, selected treatises, Arizona practice materials, docket information for Arizona courts and its citator, Keycite. Documents can be printed at the library for $0.08/ page.
- LegalTrac
- LegalTrac is a searchable electronic index of legal periodicals dating back to 1980. It is not a full-text database. Most of the information contained in LegalTrac consists of article citations from major law reviews, bar associations journals and legal newspapers.
