TVSG Structure

Time Commitment

The expected workload for TVSG students in the Spring and Fall semesters is 10 to 12 hours per week (17 to 20 for the summer) for all except law students, who will be expected to contribute 15 to 20 hours weekly (27 to 32 for the summer) to clinic work. Four of these hours must be spent in the SkySong office while the remaining hours can be worked from other locations. Students are required to schedule their ‘office hours’ during the first week of the clinic. In addition to the three weekly hours spent at the SkySong office, students will attend a one-hour team meeting (Mondays, noon until 1 p.m.) each week to supplement the clinic experience.

Grading

All except law students receive a letter grade for their participation in the TVSG (law students take the class on a pass/fail basis). Grades are based upon attendance at team meetings and office hours, timeliness of project completion, quality of completed projects and professionalism. Both the TVSG Director and the student will recommend grades using the following form, with the TVSG director making the final grade assignment decision: Self Evaluation Form

Academic Credit

Different colleges have different policies regarding types and amount of credit offered. Check with your college or contact the TVC Director for assistance. Generally, law students receive six credits, MBA students receive four credits, and all others receive three
