When purchasing a laptop, students are encouraged to consider that ExamSoft (the software currently used to take exams) is not compatible with the Macintosh platform. This might change in the future for Mac laptops that run on Intel processors, but the "fix" is not yet officially supported. If you are considering the Macintosh route, and are willing to assume the aforementioned risk, make sure your intended Mac purchase conforms to Apple's Boot Camp requirements.
