General Services for Alumni

Career Counseling
Individual appointments are available with staff to assist alumni in determining the best options for professional career and employment opportunities, and to review application materials. Call the Career Services office to schedule an appointment.

Job Postings
Attorney positions are posted through Symplicity CSM system. This site is password protected. Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law alumni may secure the password through the Career Services Office. Fellowship opportunities are also posted at this site. A copy of all listings are filed in the Career Services Office.

Programs, Workshops, Seminars
Throughout the academic year, numerous workshops, panel discussions and information sessions on a variety of issues are offered by Career Services. Sessions involve members of the legal and nonlegal community on various areas of practice.  Alumni are welcome to attend all Career Services' programs.

Resource Library
The Resource Library in Career Services provides numerous reference books, directories in particular subject areas and for major Western cities, and pamphlets and handouts on resume preparation, interviewing skills, and judicial clerkship information. The library also provides directories and descriptive information regarding all accredited LL.M. (Masters of Law) and study-abroad programs.

Career Fairs
Career Services assists students and alumni in identifying and registering for specialized career fairs around the country. These fairs are targeted to public-service work, specialized practice areas, and minority students.

Reciprocity
Reciprocity is a courtesy arrangement among law school Career Services Offices that allows students and graduates use of the Career Service Office of law schools located in other cities. Each law school has its own requirements. Some only allow graduates to use their services and some are open to students. A student is required to offer a letter of introduction from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law before visiting or contacting another law school's Career Service Office. If you are planning a visit to another school and would like a letter of reciprocity, please contact Carolyn Landry, carolyn.landry@asu.edu, Room 101.

Jobs in Indian Law
Jobs in Indian Law is the only publication of its kind devoted entirely to Native American employment opportunities in Indian law and with Native American tribes throughout the country.
