The addition of David Gartner to the faculty is the first major hire of the newly created Center on Transnational Law and Regulatory Governance, directed by faculty member Laura Dickinson. His hiring has helped bring to ASU one of the most comprehensive and transnational health-law programs in the United States.

Professor Gartner comes to the law school from Harvard University’s Program in Ethics and Health and after completing his Ph.D. from MIT in Political Science. Prior to that, Gartner was the Policy Director and Senior Counsel at the Global AIDS alliance.
