Welcome to the ASU Sports & Entertainment Law Journal

Overview

The Sports and Entertainment Law Journal (“SELJ”) is a student-edited interdisciplinary journal that seeks to promote debate and dialogue on issues concerning the developing fields of Sports and Entertainment Law. SELJ provides research and analysis on such diverse areas of law as agency law, antitrust law, constitutional law, contract law, copyright law, labor law and trademark law. SELJ will supplement course curriculum in the focused study program for Sports and Entertainment Law and partner on programs and events sponsored by the Sports and Entertainment Law Students Association (“SELSA”).

SELJ publishes biannually in the Spring and Fall in both digital and print versions. Each issue will contain essays and articles as well as notes or comments on the latest topics in Sports and Entertainment Law authored by professors, practitioners and students. Students may join SELJ by applying after their first year. Associate Editors are selected by a comprehensive application process including grades, experience, interview, etc. Success in SELJ will help to lay the foundation for a prosperous legal career and contribute to what can become the nation's top program for Sports and Entertainment Law at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.

If you are interested in submitting to future issues of the Journal, please send your submission and curriculum vitae to Submissions editor at submissions@asulawselj.net.
