WLLPC: A Sampling of Community Events
The Clinic participated in Veterans Resource Clinics in Arcadia (May 27, 2015) and Mesa (Feb. 17, 2015) and DAV Legal Clinics in Tucson (Feb. 28, 2015), Phoenix (Jan. 10, 2015) and Glendale (Oct. 25, 2014; pictured). At these legal clinics, students provide local veterans and military families with information and limited consults on unemployment insurance benefits, wage payment, wage and hour, reasonable accommodations or discrimination at work, USERRA, ADA, FMLA, landlord/tenant, debt collection, and other related issues.
The Clinic participated in the Maricopa StandDown (previously called the Arizona StandDown) in 2015, 2014 (pictured), 2013, and 2012 (pictured). Clinic faculty and students provide self-help information and limited consultations at this annual event that connects veterans experiencing and at-risk of homelessness with services and resources.
