Communications Office
The Office of Communications is responsible for internal and external news at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Its staff produces Constructive Notice, a newsletter for faculty, staff and students, an annual report for alumni and friends of the College, and the admissions bulletin and supplementary brochures for various units. These include:
- the Center for the Study of Law, Science, & Technology
- the Indian Legal Program
- the Center for Law and Global Affairs
- the Public Health Law, & Policy Program
- the Career Services and Professional Development Office
- the Clinical Program and its nine clinics
- the Legal Research and Writing Program and
- the Pro-Bono Program
The Office of Communications is the conduit for members of the media searching for experts to be interviewed, and maintains a Faculty Expertise List, alphabetized by topic, for the purpose of fulfilling media requests. The staff writes and submits press releases and media alerts for the consideration of local, regional and national print, broadcast and online journalists. It arranges for photography and media coverage of campus events and promotes them through ASU's main communications group, to other units of the university and to the media.
The communications team is responsible for producing print, broadcast and online advertisements for the College and its programs, and creating support materials for events such as e-vites and invitations, postcards, fliers, programs and brochures. It also provides templates to students for the purpose of planning publicity of student organization events.
The communications group maintains the College, faculty and alumni news pages of the Web site and approves and monitors content for other units as needed. This includes editing, posting and maintaining the profile pages of the faculty.
The Office of Communications is located in the Ross-Blakley Law Library, Room 114A, and is staffed by:
