UK workshop delivered by Kornhauser

     Marjorie Kornhauser, a professor at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, led an all-day workshop, "U.S. Income Taxation of the Family," at the University of Cambridge. The audience consisted primarily of academics from the United Kingdom and officials from the Internal Revenue Service's British counterpart, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.
     A major portion of the workshop, held May 18, dealt with the issue of delivering welfare benefits through the tax system, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit.
