A funeral mass for Maureen (Gavalek) Goodwin, a 1979 alumna of the College of Law, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix. Ms. Goodwin's husband, John, and their children, McKenzie and Brendan, will host a reception at their home following the service at 6531 N. 43rd Place in Paradise Valley. There will be a visitation from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, with the Rosary at 6 p.m. A retired corporate attorney, Ms. Goodwin died on Thursday, Nov. 29. She was 55. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in honor of Maureen be made to Brophy College Preparatory, 4701 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, Ariz., 85012.
