Alumni lauded in 'AZ Woman'
Two alumna of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law recently were featured in an article, "Meet the 20 women who will change the way we live, work and play by the year 2020," in the December issue of
AZ Woman
, the magazine's 20th Anniversary edition.
Tanya Wheeless, Class of 2001, and Jordon Rose, Class of 1996, were highlighted in the article by Christina Leonard.
Wheeless, president and CEO of the Arizona Bankers Association, was recognized for banking reforms she helped institute, including building on legislation that partners law enforcement and banks nationally to help combat identity theft, and raising lending limits for banks. She also hopes to institute financial-literacy programs for Arizonans.
Rose, founder and president of the Rose Law Group, one of Arizona's largest female-owned law firms, was recognized for her extensive community service, including her work with the Central Arizona College Foundation, the Phoenix Symphony, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Center for Autism Research.
