You may have noticed a large portion of the grass and gravel between Armstrong Hall and the Ross-Blakley Law Library is gone, replaced by a smooth, mostly spherical concrete pad. It's the debut of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Student Plaza, a gift from the Class of 2008, which will support the College's student-run scholarship fund. Members of the College of Law community may purchase tiles, for $250 and up, which can be engraved with their own names or to honor or memorialize someone else. The tiles will be embedded onto the concrete pad, which will be enhanced by a stone bench and partly shaded by a native Chinese Pistache tree. If you have questions or would like to buy a tile, members of the Class of 2008 Gift Committee will be in the Rotunda from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Monday, March 23, to Friday, March 28.
