Justice for All Night
Alba Jaramillo1
  Alba Jaramillo in Kenya
Last summer, 3L Alba Jaramillo helped draft the first women's reproductive bill in the history of Kenya, 2L Alexia J. Peterson volunteered on shaken baby cases for the Arizona Justice Project, and 3L Erin Lister Ronstadt worked on a complex habeas corpus petition in federal court, defended victims of equity-skimming scams, and helped a young man navigate the asylum process, and 3L Julie Pasquale helped federal trial attorneys investigate and prosecute child exploitation.
Their experiences would not have been possible without funding through the College of Law's Pro Bono Fellowships. To honor those who serve our community and help support students interested in continuing that tradition, the College is hosting "Justice for All Night" on Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway. Cocktails and a silent auction begin at 5:30 p.m., and dinner and a live auction, hosted by Dean Paul Schiff Berman, will start at 6:30 p.m.
Students are admitted free. Tickets are $25 per person, $10 to sponsor a student, and $200 to sponsor a table. Proceeds will fund fellowships for law students working in the public interest. To RSVP or make a donation, go to www.law.asu.edu/ProBonoGala.
