and Rob Gordon.

In the competition, held Feb. 27-28 at the Phoenix School of Law, both ASU teams advanced to create an all-ASU final.

The team of Sam Efird and Rob Gordon, both second-year law students, won on a 2-1 vote over the other ASU team of Heather Dukes, a first-year student, and Patrick Gorman, in his second year.

As regional champions, Efird and Gordon will compete nationally on April 7-8 in San Francisco.

Kristine Reich, Director of Student Affairs and Public Interest, was the head coach for the teams; professors Art Hinshaw and Bob Dauber helped select the teams. Hinshaw and mediation alums Mikel Steinfeld, Trish Stuhan, and Amy Kalman helped the teams practice, and Suzanne Lynn helped with organization.
