VLAA to assist with Downtown Phoenix Festival of the Arts

The Downtown Phoenix Festival of the Arts will bring together and showcase members of the vibrant downtown Phoenix arts scene from 4-11 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, in Heritage Square Park. In addition, the event will raise funds to help the organizations sponsoring the event: Artlink, Volunteer Legal Assistance for Artists, First Fridays in Heritage Square, and the Rosson House Museum.

Featuring:

  • Musical performances by Snail Quail, Haunted Cologne, Monophonic Hillside, The Worrymen, and Ana Moncada
  • An Acroyoga performance
  • An epic painting duel between Kyle Jordre, Ken Peloke, Taylor Swick, and Gabe Sandoval
  • Models working the runway with Vintage Mama couture and Las Otras Hermanas designs showcasing local designers and featuring a dueling sewing machine orchestra
  • Elegant flamenco dance performances by Lena and Chris Jacome
  • In your face dubstep and drum and bass provided by DJ Benni Beatnik
  • A fabulous film festival
  • And, attendees get to put their own stamp on the event through a public art piece.
