College of law mentor/alumna in ‘AZ Magazine’
06/02/2010
An article about mentors in the May issue of
AZ Magazine
, a publication of
The Arizona Republic
, included profiles of Saba Bazzazieh (Class of 2008) and Patience Huntwork, chief staff attorney at the Arizona Supreme Court. The women are a shining example of the success of the College of Law’s Post-Graduate Public Interest Fellowship Program.
In “Guiding Lights,” by reporter J. Craig Anderson, Huntwork said she is a hands-on mentor for recent graduates because their energy and drive reinvigorate entire organizations. Bazzazieh, who worked for Huntwork in 2009 and now has a job at the Chandler firm of Rosette & Associates, displayed all those qualities and more, Huntwork said.
“They benefit every single person in the workplace,” Huntwork said.
Bazzazieh said Huntwork gave her responsibility and trust, which boosted her confidence and presented her the experience she needed to land a great job.
