Gary Marchant

A new book co-authored by Gary Marchant, Executive Director of the College of Law’s Center for Law, Science & Innovation, provides “interesting food for thought,” according to a brief review in The Washington Post.

Marchant, the ASU Lincoln Professor of Emerging Technologies, Law and Ethics, wrote Thwarting Consumer Choice: The Case against Mandatory Labeling for Genetically Modified Foods with Professor Emeritus Guy Cardineau and Thomas Redick, principal attorney in the St. Louis law firm of Global Environmental Ethics Counsel.

The book, published by the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research in Washington, D.C., stands against mandatory labeling requirements for genetically modified foods, the review states.
