Ruth McGregor, a retired Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court and a ‘74 alumna of the College of Law, will teach International and Comparative Human Rights Law in Ireland this summer at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, National University of Ireland, Galway.

The six-week program focuses on courses related to international and comparative human rights law and accountability for human rights violations.

McGregor retired from her position as Chief Justice in June 2009 to spend more time with her family and to pursue other interests. In 2009, she was chosen to be inducted into the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Hall of Fame under the category of “Modern Era” attorneys – those who were prominent in 1965 or later.
