Arizona House Minority Leader, David Lujan, a ’96 alumnus of the College of Law, has announced his candidacy for Arizona Attorney General on his website davidlujan.com.

In the Arizona Republic article, “David Lujan announces candidacy for attorney general,” Lujan is quoted as saying, “In this economic crisis, people are looking for leadership. And I don’t think they’re getting it from the right now. They’re looking to someone to keep them safe from crime, and that’s what I would do as attorney general.”

Lujan’s Democratic opponents for the office are Felecia Rotellini, former director of the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions and former assistant attorney general, and Tucson prosecutor Vince Rabago.

Lujan recently participated in ASU’s Bob Stump Dialogue Series, “Leadership in Challenging Times: A Discussion with Arizona Lawmakers,” moderated by Eduardo Pagan, Bob Stump Endowed Professor of History and a host of the PBS series “History Detectives,” who engages speakers in a series of questions about leadership.
