Cruz to participate in “Writers on Border Lines”

Evelyn Cruz
, Director of the College of Law’s Immigration Law & Policy Clinic, will join three authors giving unique perspectives on immigration during “Writers on Border Lines,” on Thursday, Oct. 21. The event, free and open to the public, will be at 7:45 p.m. in the Great Hall on the law school’s Tempe campus.
Writers Reyna Grande, Alberto Rios and Terry Greene Sterling each will read from their recent works, followed by an open discussion. Grande is the author of two novels, including the critically acclaimed
Across a Hundred Mountains
. Rios, a Regents’ Professor of English at ASU, has written several collections of poetry, including
The Theater of Night
. Sterling recently published
Illegal: Life and Death in Arizona’s Immigration War Zone
.
