Terry Goddard, Arizona Attorney General and ’76 alumnus of the College of Law, recently announced his candidacy in the Arizona governor’s race, according to stories on KTAR.com, YumaSun.com and various others.

Goddard was the first Democrat to make a bid for the governorship against Republican candidates John Munger, Dean Martin, Owen “Buz” Mills and incumbent Ann Brewer.

In his announcement, Goddard spoke on improving Arizona’s economy and increasing support of public education and state border security.
