SB 1070 arguments to be streamed in Great Hall

The College of Law will stream live video of the oral arguments in the SB 1070 case, which are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 1, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to watch in the Great Hall, beginning at 9 a.m. Seating is limited.
Briefs, including numerous amici briefs, are posted on the court’s
website

Later in the day, Associate Professor
Carissa Byrne Hessick
is scheduled to be a guest on Channel 8’s
Horizon
to explain the issues at stake with SB 1070, Arizona’s controversial immigration enforcement law, and the proceedings in the court. The program airs at 7 p.m. on the local PBS affiliate.
