Four law students, all in their third year, won the prestigious Baird Award, an annual legal writing contest sponsored by the College of Law and the law firm Lewis & Roca. Winners were chosen by Lewis & Roca and received cash awards.

This year’s first place winner was Anne Warren, winning $1,500. Nick Barton and Adam Reich tied for second place, both winning $1,000. The third place winner, David Palanzo, was awarded $750.
Ken Van Winkle, Jr., Managing Partner of Lewis & Roca, said the firm is proud to be a partner in the annual award.

“We believe that it is essential to offer educational resources to further develop and hone the skills of our soon-to-be colleagues,” Van Winkle said.

“Hopefully this will assist in furthering their success within the legal field, while honoring the vision of our beloved partner. It is a win-win opportunity."
