Hinshaw pens post for ‘ADR Prof Blog’
04/20/2011
Art Hinshaw
Art Hinshaw
, Director of the Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program at the College of Law, published a post entitled, “Reflections on Fairly Legal,” on the
ADR Prof Blog
.
In the post, Hinshaw argues that while the show “Fairly Legal” may make for good TV, it isn’t the best depiction of true mediation.
“Mediation provides a nice setting for the show, but there is little mediation going on,” Hinshaw writes. “Like many other TV shows it manufactures false drama and too much of it.”
