Saks to moderate webinar on neuroscience and the law

Michael Saks, Regents’ Professor of Law and Psychology, will serve as a moderator for a webinar entitled, “Neuroscience and the Law: Substance Dependence,” on May 19.

The webinar is hosted by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and will present the challenges in addressing issues related to substance abuses as well as new scientific findings relating to substance abuse.

Saks is a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Law, Science & Innovation. His research focuses on empirical studies of the legal system, especially decisionmaking, the behavior of the litigation system and the law’s use of science. He is the fourth most-cited law-and-social-science scholar in the U.S., and has authored approximately 200 articles and books.
