Saks to speak at Seattle conference

Michael Saks
, Regents’ Professor of Law and Psychology, will speak at the Eighth International Conference on Forensic Statistics in Seattle, WA, from July 18-21.
Saks will speak during the “Traces of Individuals” presentation section along with David Kaye of the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University, Paul Giannelli of Case Western University School of Law and Jonathan Koehler of Northwestern University Law School.
The conference will feature professionals from various disciplines, including law enforcement officers, forensic scientists, statisticians and lawyers.
Saks is a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Law, Science & Innovation. His research focuses on empirical studies of the legal system, especially decision making, the behavior of the litigation system and the law’s use of science. He is the fourth most-cited law-and-social-science scholar in the U.S., and has authored approximately 200 articles and books.
