Bender quoted in ‘New America Media’
05/20/2011
Paul Bender
Paul Bender,
Professor of Law and Dean Emeritus, was quoted in a May 11
New America Media
article entitled, “Arizona’s SB 1070 Could Face Long Road to the Supreme Court,” by reporter Valeria Fernández.
The article discussed the recent decision by Gov. Jan Brewer to petition the U.S. Supreme Court to review Arizona’s controversial immigration bill, which has had many of its major portions blocked by an injunction. Bender discussed a different immigration Arizona law currently pending a ruling in the Supreme Court and how that ruling might indicate which way the justices lean on immigration issues.
