Holst to address international legal skills conference

Associate Clinical Professor Kimberly Holst of the College of Law will give a talk about the roles of attorneys in mediation at the 21st Century Legal Skills Conference, June 6-9, at Baçeheşir University Faculty of Law in Istanbul.

Co-sponsored by the Legal Writing Institute and Baçeheşir University Faculty of Law, the conference brings together American law professors and legal scholars to share recent developments in international law that impact Turkish lawyers. Participants also share the ways in which American law professors integrated skills education into the standard law school curriculum.

Articles from the conference will be published in a special edition of the Baçeheşir Unıversıty Law Revıew.

Holst teaches Legal Methods and Writing as well upper-level writing and skills courses. Her scholarship focuses on using well-established methods of pedagogy from other disciplines and applying them to the teaching and learning of the law, and she has presented on these topics at various conferences around the country. Additionally, Holst has written scholarship in the areas of intellectual property law and criminal procedure.
