Winer assists in discussion at international conference in Hong Kong on the politics of identity

Laurence Winer
recently contributed to an international conference with his presentation “Electoral Speech and Church-State Relations: Laws Must Foster Neutrality, Tolerance, Pluralism and Diversity” (with Nina J. Crimm).
The conference, “Recognition and the Politics of Identity and Inclusion in the 21st Century: Managing Diversity in Plural Societies”, took place at the University of Hong Kong, Centre for Comparative and Public Law on April 28-29. The conference explored evolving parameters of the politics of identity.
Winer’s scholarship focuses on the First Amendment and government regulation of the media and includes published articles, amicus briefs and various government filings. Professor Winer also is Faculty Editor of
Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology, published by the College together with the ABA’s Section of Science & Technology Law
