Third-year law student Sarah Laidlaw is among a handful of alumni of Barrett, The Honors College, to be included in an article in the December issue of ASU Magazine.
"Growing Smarter," by Sarah Auffret, reports about the new Barrett residential campus on ASU's Tempe campus, and the College's continued success in promoting its reputation, strength of its faculty and achievement of its students. In the article, along with graduates who are clerking for a federal judge, pursuing a graduate degree in international relations at Yale, teaching biology and learning to teach English to speakers of other languages, Laidlaw reflects on her Barrett experiences.
"Writing a thesis and taking the Human Event classes gave me perspectives on education and life that have helped me succeed," said Laidlaw, a 2003 Barrett alumna. "I believe living in a community (the honors residence halls) and attending classes with a select group of people helped me through school. It gave me the small-school environment while still being able to take advantage of the opportunities ASU provides."
