Pace, who represents business groups in the case, is hopeful that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear and overturn the 2007 Arizona law that prohibits employers from knowingly hiring illegal immigrants. The justices have asked the U.S. solicitor general to submit a brief in the case.
"That usually means that they realized that this decision impacts the federal government and they want it to express its views," Pace is quoted as saying.
