The College of Law's inaugural Aspiring Law Professor Conference on Oct. 17 was the subject of an Oct. 30 blog post on PrawfsBlawg by Orly Lobel, a professor at the University of San Diego School of Law.
Lobel, who participated in the conference, praised the valuable contributions of College of Law faculty members -- Professor Doug Sylvester, Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Development, Associate Professors Carissa Byrne Hessick and Andy Hessick, and Associate Clinical Professor Marcy Karin, director of the Work-Life Policy Unit in the Civil Justice Clinic.
"The conference was aimed at how to make the transition from legal practice or other academic fields into legal academia with a target audience of visiting assistant professors and teaching fellows - attendees who are already well on their way to becoming law professors," Lobel said.
