ASU 'State Press' quotes Berman

The Sally Campbell Memorial Best for Babies Seminar, held on Oct. 23 at the College of Law, was covered by the State Press and included comments from Dean Paul Schiff Berman.

The Oct. 26 article, "Law school hosts discussions on legal issues in childcare," by Jessica Testa, reported on new ways of treating legal cases involving children. The seminar, involving judges, foster parents and child-care specialists, as well as faculty and students, is an example of the College of Law's mission to train modern, socially conscious attorneys.

"There is a tremendous need and opportunity for us to be of service to this community," Berman said.

The article also quoted Richard Weiss (Class of 1980), a presiding juvenile judge in the Mohave County Superior Court, and panel member. "With a common purpose, we can enrich children's lives," Weiss said.
