Wilhelmi is the first person to graduate from the College of Law under the M.D./J.D. program, a partnership with Mayo Medical School that spreads the learning of medicine and the law over six years. Evans is the second person to finish the law portion of the program, which is sandwiched by two years of medical school on either side.

"There's a business element to medicine that a lot of students aren't exposed to, and I am so thankful that I was offered this opportunity," said Evans, who currently is on rotation at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix.
