     Hessick has discussed issues from target letters for those hoping to land entry-level professorships to a conference aimed at junior professors teaching criminal law and criminal procedure to commenting on the teenage pregnancy of Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin's daughter.
     Hessick argued that the candidates use their children to appear more likeable and easier to relate to, and that it is a double standard to then say they are "off limits" for criticism.
     "While I agree that we should respect the privacy of all candidates' children, I also think that they should play no role in the campaign at all," she wrote.
