The Program, conducted by the American Bar Association in cooperation with the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, will be held on April 27 at the Wilson Center's Flom Auditorium in Washington, D.C.
The program is one of the ABA's principal national events for this year's 52nd annual commemoration of Law Day. The panel moderator is John Milewski, host of "Dialogue," the Wilson Center's acclaimed radio and television program, which features conversations with renowned public figures, scholars, journalists and authors. Other panelists include Anita L. Allen, Deputy Dean and Henry R. Silverman Professor of Law and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and Jamie Gorelick, Partner, Wilmer Hale, and former Deputy Attorney General of the United States.
The ABA has conducted the program series to commemorate Law Day since 2001. Past programs have examined themes of law, politics, and culture and have operated on the premise that exploring fundamental legal identities and attributes helps us better understand who we are as Americans.
