Hodge to present at CDC national meeting

James G. Hodge Jr., the Lincoln Professor of Health Law and Ethics and Director of the College of Law's Public Health Law and Policy Program, will address a meeting of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, April 27-28, in Atlanta.

Hodge will give a presentation, "Legal and Ethical Considerations," at the CDC Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion's Influenza Pandemic Preparedness and Response in Long-Term Care and their Communities Stakeholder meeting. The session will bring together representatives from long-term care health care communities, and other experts and stakeholders to discuss issues faced during a flu pandemic.

Through scholarly and applied work, Hodge delves into multiple areas of public health law, global health law, ethics, and human rights. He teaches Health Law, Ethics, and Policy, Public Health Law and Ethics, and Global Health Law and Policy at the College of Law. Hodge also is an affiliated faculty member in the Global Health program in the School of Human Evolution & Social Change at ASU.
