Wissler to address ABA meeting

Roselle Wissler, Research Director of the College of Law's Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program, will present a paper at the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation's Access to Justice Symposium on Dec. 4-5 in Atlanta.

Wissler's paper, "What Do We Know Empirically About Counsel in ADR Proceedings," reports research examining the effect of the parties' representational status on their mediation experience and on the mediation process and outcomes. 

The symposium will explore issues raised by the ABA's 2006 Resolution urging that legal counsel be provided to low-income litigants in certain categories of civil cases.
