White to speak at Villanova

White to participate in Villanova symposium

Michael White
will speak on a panel at a conference, "Catholic Social Thought and Citizenship," at Villanova University School of Law on Saturday, Oct. 11.
White, who teaches both law and philosophy at ASU, will participate in a panel entitled, "Historical Perspectives on Catholicism and Citizenship," during the sixth annual Joseph T. McCullen, Jr. Symposium on Catholic Social Thought and the Law. The title of White's presentation is "Augustinian Citizenship."
Among the questions to be addressed by the symposium are the responsibilities of citizenship in Catholic social teaching, the relationship between faithful citizenship and voting and, among other topics, the role of the American Catholic Church in public life.
