Marchant to address climate change conference

     Professor Gary Marchant will speak about timing issues related to global warming during a conference on Aug. 11-13, in Victoria, British Columbia.
     Marchant, executive director of the College of Law’s Center for the Study of Law, Science, & Technology, will participate in a panel at the conference, “The Long Haul: Navigating the Energy Transition to Limit Climate Change.” His talk will focus on making regulatory systems adaptive to changing science and technology in order to guide current and future decision-makers.
     The conference, which has drawn experts from around North America, is sponsored by the Centre for Global Studies at the University of Victoria and the National Science Foundation.
