Hodge named to ASLME board of directors

., Director of the College of Law’s Public Health Law and Policy Program,
James G. Hodge Jr.
has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics (ASLME).
The ASLME’s mission is to provide high-quality scholarship, debate and critical thought for professionals at the intersection of law, medicine and ethics. It focuses on the protection of public health, the reduction of racial, ethnic and economic health disparities, the promotion of patient safety and quality of care, and the facilitation of dialogue about emerging biomedical science and research.
Hodge, the ASU Lincoln Professor of Health Law and Ethics, is director of The Network for Public Health Law - Western Region, a Faculty Fellow in the Center for Law, Science & Innovation, and an affiliate faculty member in the ASU School of Human Evolution & Social Change, the School of Public Affairs and the Department of Biomedical Informatics. Through scholarship, teaching and applied projects, he delves into multiple areas of health law, public health law, global health law, ethics and human rights. Hodge teaches Health Law, Ethics, and Policy, Public Health Law and Ethics and Global Health Law and Policy.
