Weinstein speaks at C. Edwin Baker honorary lecture

James Weinstein
James Weinstein, Amelia D. Lewis Professor of Constitutional Law at the College of Law, will give a presentationon Oct. 10 at the C. Edwin Baker Lecture for Liberty, Equality, and Democracy at the West Virginia College of Law in Morgantown, W. Va.
C. Edwin Baker was the former Nicholas F. Gallicchio Professor of Law and Communication at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Weinstein’s tribute, “A Response to Ed Baker’s Autonomy Theory,” will be presented at noon in the Maryln E. Lugar Courtroom. A live web cast will be available for access on the website here.
Weinstein’s areas of academic interest are Constitutional Law, especially Free Speech, as well as Jurisprudence, Federal Courts, Civil Procedure and Legal History. He is co-editor of
Extreme Speech and Democracy
, and has written numerous articles in law review symposia on a variety of free speech topics.
