Clinton appointed as judge pro tempore in tribal court

Robert Clinton
Robert Clinton, Foundation Professor of Law, and Faculty Advisor on Tribal Engagement for the Indian Legal Program at ASU, was sworn in as judge
pro tempore
for the San Manuel Tribal Court, located near Highland, Calif.
The Court, which opened on Oct. 23, 2009, exercises general civil jurisdiction over tribal citizens and persons who have consented to tribal jurisdiction.
At the College of Law, Clinton teaches and writes about federal Indian law, tribal law, Native American history, constitutional law and federal courts.
