The program is part of a broader effort to mentor and reach out to high school and college students in the community, according to Charles Calleros, a professor of law at ASU who offered advice to the students. Law Library Specialist Tara Mospan led the event, providing instruction and helping the students with research, and David Gay, a reference librarian at the law library also assisted the visitors.
Calleros said the annual library research project targets high school students who have already indicated an interest in the law. It gives them an opportunity to find a Supreme Court opinion on a topic, take notes, and then report to their class afterwards.
