Daniel Rodriguez, a May graduate of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at ASU, is being honored for his advocacy in helping undocumented youths receive higher education.
Rodriguez will receive the George I. Sanchez Memorial Award from the National Education Association, during their human- and civil-rights advocates' annual awards ceremony.
Rodriguez said he's proud to receive the award.
"I hope it raises awareness not just in terms of validating the work I do, but hopefully to use this platform to raise the issue of undocumented immigrants and education," he said.
